MP Jagadish Shettar visited the family of Yallappa Gundyagol, who died in a recent fire at the Sneham Taping Solutions Factory in Navage village near Belagavi. Shettar inspected the factory site, interacted with the owners and officials, and emphasized the need for stringent safety measures to prevent such incidents in the future.

Shettar stated that it is crucial for all factories to adhere to safety protocols to protect workers and criticized employers for not prioritizing worker welfare. He also visited Gundyagol’s home in Markandeya Nagar to offer condolences to his family.

During his visit, Shettar voiced criticism against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, accusing him of failing to address the MUDA scam in the legislature and instead opting for a press conference. Shettar demanded that the Justice Kempanna Commission’s report on the Arkavati scandal be presented in the House.

Shettar also discussed his visit to Karatagi, Koppal, and the TB Dam gate site, noting that the executive engineer position at the site had been vacant for six months. He mentioned that, due to insufficient funds, maintaining the existing dam system is not feasible and suggested that a new dam should be constructed.
