Appointment Of New Chairman For MUDA

The state government has issued an order appointing Naheem, a member of the city council, as the new chairman of the Mandya Urban Development Authority (MUDA). N Doddaiah, Kavya Shri, M Arunkumar, Krishna are appointed as members.
K Srinivas was appointed as MUDA president in BJP government. After the formation of the new Congress government, the post of President was lying vacant. Naheem, who was elected as a member of the city council for the first time, worked hard on behalf of MLA P Ravikumar in the last assembly elections.
He played an important role in making the Muslim votes flow towards the Congress. Besides, it is being said that Nahim got the post because of his good association with Ministers N Chaluvarayaswamy, Zameer Ahmed and MLA P Ravikumar.
Alongwith Nahim, members N Doddaiah, Arun Kumar, M Krishna, Kavyashree Somashekar also took charge of office.
