Dog Attacks Five, One Seriously Injured

Dog plague has increased in the town and more than 5 people have been attacked. An incident in which a girl was seriously injured took place on Thursday in Gokul Extension of Tumkur city.
A rabid dog appeared in Gokula area and attacked a 9-year-old girl who was playing in front of the house. The rabid dog that bit the girl’s hand and leg also attacked the two dogs kept in the house. The fear of the dogs coming from outside has increased among the locals.
Due to the fact that it is near the ring road, there have been allegations of dogs being brought and left near the ring road from other places. Locals have demanded that the concerned authorities should take immediate action in this regard.
City Municipal Corporation Commissioner BV Ashvija visited the spot, enquired about the health of injured girl. She promised to provide compensation on behalf of the corporation. The mad dog that had attacked was beaten to death by the locals. Later, it was taken to the laboratory and the veterinary doctors are checking it.
