Hasikaraga Mahotsava Celebrated With Grandeur

Hasikaraga Mahotsava, dedicated to Mauktikambha Amma, was celebrated with grandeur in Devanahalli on Tuesday. The event commenced from Puttappana Gudi Street’s seven-round fort, traversing through the town’s main streets to reach the Sri Mauktikambha Temple. Karagada Pujari Ravikumar, with a commendable record of 15 consecutive years of service, led the procession.

Preparations for the event scheduled on Thursday, May 23, Purnami, were meticulously arranged. On Tuesday, lamp aartis marked the beginning of the festivities, with plans for a special Pongal service and puja dedicated to Amma scheduled for Wednesday.

Vijayakumar, the President of the Mauktikambha Temple Committee, highlighted the historical significance of Devanahalli Karaga, noting the frequent participation of villagers from nearby areas. Festivities were enhanced with a grand floral rangoli adorning the fort’s main entrance, accompanied by generous distribution of food to all participating devotees.

Residents of Devanahalli and nearby villages were invited by the Mauktikambha Temple Committee to join the celebrations and seek the divine blessings.
