The Ironman 70.3 Goa triathlon is set to return on Nov 9, 2025, for its fifth edition, organizers announced Wednesday. Athletes now have a full year to prepare for this iconic event, which has become a magnet for participants from around the world, drawing athletes from 57 countries and 120 Indian towns. This endurance race combines a 1.9-kilometer swim, a 90-kilometer bike ride, and a 21.1-kilometer run along the scenic routes of Miramar.
Race registrations are slated to open in December 2024, encouraging both experienced and first-time triathletes to start their training journey. Event Director Deepak Raj praised Goa’s unique appeal, noting, “Among Ironman 70.3 races globally, Goa is one of the most enjoyable courses with calm waters, a scenic bike route, and a flattish run course.”
To help athletes prepare, Yoska, the event organizer, will host triathlon and swim training camps throughout India over the coming year. “By announcing the race dates early, we’re supporting first-time participants in planning their journey and training seriously,” Raj added.
Each year, approximately 1,200 athletes participate, many accompanied by family, taking advantage of Goa’s blend of top-notch sports facilities and natural beauty. Supported by the Goa administration, the event highlights the region’s sports-friendly environment.
