New Delhi
Former Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, confident of AAP’s third-term victory in the capital, launched a 15-day campaign on Friday to highlight the six free services offered by the party. The campaign, titled “Revadi par Charcha,” targets the BJP’s criticism of these services, which they call “revadis” or freebies, and seek to discontinue.
Kejriwal emphasized the AAP’s achievements, including free electricity, water, education, healthcare, women’s bus travel, and pilgrimages for the elderly in Delhi. He cautioned voters about BJP’s promises to provide similar services, pointing out that no BJP-ruled state offers free 24-hour power supply, unlike AAP’s record in Delhi and Punjab.
The AAP leader accused the BJP of betraying Poorvanchali residents in unauthorized colonies, claiming they failed to fulfill promises made in the 2019 elections regarding house registrations. Kejriwal highlighted his efforts to improve life in these areas, including extensive infrastructure work on sewer lines, roads, and drains, as well as Mohalla Clinics and schools.
Kejriwal urged voters to question BJP leaders about their contributions to Delhi and vowed that AAP would maintain its previous success in the upcoming elections. The “Revadi par Charcha” campaign will feature 65,000 colony-level meetings to inform voters about AAP’s free services.
