The International Kabaddi Federation (IKF) has officially approved the World Super Kabaddi League (WSKL) 2025, which will be organized in partnership with the South East Asian Kabaddi Federation (SEAKF) and the Kabaddi Association of Thailand.
In a statement, the IKF congratulated SJ Uplift Kabaddi Private Limited, the organizing body of the league, for their efforts in bringing the competition to life. The IKF praised the organizers for their vision and dedication to promoting Kabaddi, a traditional sport with deep roots in South Asia. “Starting a kabaddi league is no small feat. Your efforts will inspire young athletes and help grow the sport,” the IKF noted.
The WSKL will feature players from IKF member countries. A player auction will be held to form teams, offering athletes a platform to showcase their skills on a global stage.
Earlier this year, SEAKF granted SJ Uplift Kabaddi Pvt Ltd exclusive rights to organize the WSKL for the next 15 years, ensuring the league’s long-term growth. The Kabaddi Association of Thailand has also endorsed the company as the sole creator and rights holder of the league.
