Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav responded to Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s challenge for a direct electoral contest, stating that the public has already decided Soren will not succeed. Yadav dismissed Soren’s remarks about fighting the BJP openly, referring to the Jharkhand CM’s recent release from jail and emphasizing that Soren’s defeat was already determined by the public.

Soren had previously criticized the BJP for allegedly attacking him covertly, posting on X, If you have courage, fight upfront. Why keep attacking from behind like the cowardly British? He also accused the BJP of spending vast sums to damage his reputation, citing actions by agencies like the ED and CBI.

Soren further questioned the BJP’s double engine government, pointing out issues like school closures, cancelled ration cards, and lack of exams during its tenure. He blamed the previous BJP government for widespread poverty and mismanagement, pledging to continue working for the welfare of Jharkhand’s residents if re-elected.

The Jharkhand Assembly elections will be held in two phases on November 13 and 20, with results to be announced on November 23.
