Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated ‘Phila Vista-2024,’ a district-level philatelic exhibition organized by the Gandhinagar Postal Division on Tuesday. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel also attended the two-day event, held at Dandi Kutir in Gandhinagar.
The Home Minister and the Chief Minister, along with other dignitaries, explored the exhibition, which showcased a collection of unique and rare postage stamps. As part of the event, they unveiled a special postal cover themed ‘Architecture in Gandhinagar.’
Amit Shah praised the exhibition on the social media platform X, emphasizing that postage stamps are not just a means of communication but a vital part of India’s heritage. He said the event would allow visitors to learn about the rich history of Indian postage and inspire the youth to connect with the country’s cultural legacy.
Gandhinagar Mayor Miraben Patel, Chief Secretary Raj Kumar, and other senior officials from the postal department also attended the inauguration. Before the event, students from Dandi Kutir warmly welcomed the leaders.
The exhibition will be open to the public on November 19 and 20, from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm, offering philatelic enthusiasts a chance to explore this rare collection of stamps.
