Defending champion Sahith Theegala continued his strong performance with a 3-under 69 in the third round of the Procore Championship at Silverado, but he dropped to a tie for seventh place. With scores of 69, 66, and 69, Theegala stands at 12-under par, six strokes behind leader Patton Kizzire.

Kizzire, who had a 5-under 67 featuring six birdies and a bogey, extended his lead to four strokes with an 18-under 198 total. The 38-year-old, who last won on the PGA TOUR in late 2017 and early 2018, is seeking to end his winless streak.

Theegala, ranked third in the FedExCup standings, maintained a steady round with four birdies and one bogey on the par-4 14th. His birdies came on the fifth, sixth, 13th, and 18th holes.

David Lipsky, playing alongside Kizzire, is in second place after a 70. Lipsky, who led after the first round, had four birdies and two bogeys.

Patrick Fishburn, making his first TOUR appearance, was briefly within two shots of Kizzire but finished with back-to-back bogeys, shooting 70. He is tied for third at 13-under with Greyson Sigg and Canadian Presidents Cup players Mackenzie Hughes and Corey Conners, all of whom shot 66. Wilson Furr, with the best round of the day at 64, and Ben Silverman, who shot 65, are also at 12-under.
