Asia Road Racing: Honda Racing India finishes round 5 strongly

Indian riders Kavin Quintal and Mohsin Paramban of IDEMITSU Honda Racing India faced tough conditions during Race 2 of Round 5 at the 2024 FIM Asia Road Racing Championship in Malaysia.

Kavin Quintal, starting from 18th position, fought hard against fierce international competition and challenging weather. He managed to advance to 16th place by the end of the race, finishing with a time of 20:02.086. Mohsin Paramban, beginning from 21st, showed resilience and carefully navigated through the race. He finished in 23rd place with a time of 20:25.709.

Despite their strong performances, both riders were unable to secure points for the team in this round. IDEMITSU Honda Racing India has accumulated 13 points for the season in the Asia Production 250cc (AP250) class.

Kavin Quintal remarked, the weather affected my race strategy. I aimed for consistency and avoided mistakes, but we couldn’t secure any points. We hope to perform better in the final round.

Mohsin Paramban added, we focused on avoiding crashes given the intense conditions. This round gave us useful insights, and I plan to come back stronger for the next race.
