The Accused Is Accused Only, No Special Privilege Given To Darshan: HK Patil

Action has been taken in accordance with the law in the case of actor Darshan’s arrest. No special favour has been given to Darshan because he is a VIP, nor will it be given. The tent placed in the police station is not a secret interrogation, but for the convenience of the additional staff, said Law Minister HK Patil.
Speaking at a press conference after the cabinet meeting, he said, there is no question whether the police station where Darshan is arrested is allowed to be covered with a tarpaulin. I have no information about it. But I don’t know if there is a need to put up a tent in the police station. Seeing the seriousness of the case, Section 144 has naturally been put in the police station. When the additional police personnel are deployed, a tent is put up for them. This has been done for the sake of law and order, he said.
The accused is the accused. He is not legally allowed to create special convenience and special opportunity. Our government will not allow him to do that, he clarified.
