Railway Police have recently solved a series of murder cases, bringing justice to victims and restoring commuter confidence in the security system. Dr. Manjunath Kanamadi, the Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) of South Western Railways (SWR), stated that the Railway Police have actively investigated several high-profile murder cases in recent months, resulting in the arrest of suspects.

In one case, three individuals were apprehended for the murder of a 30-year-old man at Ramanagara station. Another incident involved a fight at Kyathasandra station on February 2, leading to the death of one person on platform No. 1. An accused was arrested in connection with this incident.

Additionally, on February 25, a person was killed near Munirabad station due to a land dispute. The perpetrators attempted to dispose of the body on the railway track to conceal evidence, but they were detained by the Railway Protection Force (RPF), and the case was handed over to the Munirabad police station.

In another recent incident aboard the Chalukya Express at Khanapur, the suspect was identified through CCTV footage from various stations. Security agencies formed five teams to pursue the culprit.

Arvind Srivastava, the General Manager of SWR, conducted meetings with key officials to evaluate the overall security situation. Changes in the policing strategies of the Railway Police Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police (GRP) were discussed to increase security surveillance on trains. Additionally, the decision was made to recruit home guards and retired army personnel for stationary duty as a temporary measure.
