Instructions have been given by Deputy Commissioner Nitesh Patil regarding the upcoming rainy season. After attending a video conference with Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on drought management and preparations for the monsoon, Patil instructed district-level officials to ensure the proper distribution of sowing seeds for the monsoon season. Measures should be taken to avoid inconvenience at seed distribution centers, such as distributing tokens and starting additional centers if needed. Farmers should be informed about seed availability continuously.

Officials were also directed to test water quality while supplying drinking water, as contaminated water can lead to health problems. Immediate action should be taken if there are issues with drinking water or fodder for livestock, as directed by the Chief Minister. Farmers were urged to take precautions to avoid shortages of seeds and fertilizers.

Deputy divisional officers and agriculture department officials were instructed to expedite compensation for the families of deceased farmers in suicide cases. Given the forecast of increased rainfall, preparations for flood management in riverside areas should be made.

Present at the meeting were Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Rahul Shinde, Additional Deputy Commissioner Vijayakumar Honakeri, City Corporation Commissioner PN Lokesh, and Joint Director of the Agriculture Department Shivanagouda Patil.
