Deputy Commissioner Divya Prabhu clarified that over 6,000 farmers, who are eligible to recieve crop loss compensation but have not received due to technical glitches, have been approached by the village revenue officers to help them overcome the hurdles.
Speaking to media persons,  Deputy Commissioner said 1.1 lakh farmers in  district have received input subsidies to the tune of Rs 108.1 crore in 10 instalments, while 6,083 are yet to get the amount. Mismatching of names of the beneficiary in Aadhaar card and FRUIT ID, failure to link Aadhaar with bank accounts, National Payments Corporation of India (NCPI), dormant Aadhaar cards and bank accounts and wrong entry of IFSC code among others are the main reasons for the input subsidies not getting credited to the farmers’ accounts, the Deputy Commissioner explained.
The Deputy Commissioner said glitches related to 4,918 farmers have already been solved.  It has been found that 660 farmers have died and 505 are staying in other towns/ villages. The village officers have contacted those staying outside their hometowns to get the glitches resolved, the Deputy Commissioner added.

The list of farmers whose claims for compensation have been approved have been displayed on the notice boards of Naada Kacheri, Gram Panchayat, Raitha Samparka Kendra and the Tahasildar’s offices.
The Deputy Commissioner said having FRUIT ID is compulsory for farmers to avail benefits of the scheme, and appealed to the farmers who have not yet taken FRUIT ID to get them from PDOs or officials at Raitha Samparka Kendras.
