After evading authorities for 23 years, a man involved in a two-wheeler theft case from Banasawadi Police Station has finally been arrested. The accused, who had been absconding without appearing before a valid court, faced pending charges in a competent court.

Despite a warrant issued for his arrest by the competent court, the accused remained elusive, resulting in the case being designated as an LPR (Long-Pending Report) case.

In response to the prolonged evasion, a specialized team was assembled at Banasawadi Police Station to track down the fugitive. Their efforts culminated in the successful arrest of the accused on May 20, 2024, at Shayanabhoganahalli Circle, Bangalore Rural District.

Following the arrest, the accused was presented before the court on the same day evening, marking a significant breakthrough in a decades-old case.
