The bustling city life, a magnet for dreamers and a harsh reality for many, takes center stage in the second song released from the upcoming Kannada movie ‘Kotee’. Titled “Janatha City,” the song delves into the hopes, aspirations, and struggles of the people who call this urban jungle home.

The lyrical video, now available on Saregama Kannada’s YouTube channel, offers a glimpse into the world of Kotee, the protagonist. Kotee, aspires to make a honest living in the city, a place that embodies the duality of being both fascinating and corrupt.

The song, written and composed by Vasuki Vaibhav and sung by Sanjith Hegde, explores the complex relationship between Kotee and Janatha City. “Writing and composing this song was both exciting and challenging,” said Vaibhav. “Kotee’s journey of achieving his dreams through honest means, devoid of deceit, is the essence of this song.”

Director Param expressed his personal connection to the song, stating, “Janatha City is my favorite song from the movie. Coming from a small village myself, big cities have always held a certain mystique for me.”

Daali Dhananjaya takes on the lead role of Kotee, with Moksha Kushal playing the female lead. Veteran actors Ramesh Indira, Rangayana Raghu, Thara Anooradha, and Sardar Satya add depth to the cast.
