To enhance voter awareness ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, BBMP Chief Commissioner Tushar Giri Nath announced the appointment of four personalities as ‘Our Bengaluru Icons (Ambassadors)’.
The launch of the “Namma Bangalore Icons” program took place on Tuesday at Puttanna Chetty Purabhavan. The appointed “Our Bangalore Icons” include Ramesh Aravind, a film actor and director; Neetu Vanajakshi, an actress and model; Anup Sridhar, a badminton player; and Archana G Kamath, a Table Tennis Player.
Highlighting the significance of voting, Nath stressed that voting is not only a right but also a responsibility, urging first-time voters to actively participate in shaping the future through their votes. He underscored the availability of facilities near polling booths and encouraged everyone to fulfill their civic duty by voting.
Film actor and director Ramesh Aravind served as an election ambassador, rallying citizens to join the election festival on April 26 and cast their votes, highlighting the transformative power of each vote.
