In anticipation of heavy rainfall, the Yelahanka sector has implemented extensive preparations to ensure the safety and well-being of residents. Detailed arrangements have been made across various localities to address potential flooding and emergency situations.
In the Badappan Layout/Tata Nagar area, three fire-fighting vehicles, one generator pump, and six floating pumps have been deployed to manage any water-related emergencies. The Basava Samiti on Tindlu Road is equipped with one fire-fighting vehicle, while Centralia Vihar Apartments also have one fire-fighting vehicle stationed for immediate response.
Additionally, several boats have been arranged for rescue operations. Fifteen boats are stationed at Centralia Vihar, while one boat is allocated for Tata Nagar. These measures are crucial for ensuring quick evacuations and aid during adverse weather conditions.
To address the basic needs of affected residents, the distribution of essential supplies is underway. In the Yelahanka division, 1,500 five-liter bottles of water will be distributed, alongside 1,000 snack packets and 3,100 meal packets. The Battrayanapura division will receive 2,000 five-liter bottles of water and 3,500 meal packets to ensure that all affected individuals have access to food and clean drinking water.
