In a display of exceptional prowess, the Kho.Kho team from Vijayanagar Government First Class College secured victory in the 2023-24 Bangalore University Inter College Men’s Kho.Kho Tournament. Held at the Bangalore University UCPE College Stadium, this tournament witnessed the participation of 28 teams representing various graduate colleges under Bangalore University. The journey to triumph saw the team from Vijayanagar Government First Class College confront formidable opponents like HSR Layout Government First Class College, SVR College Chandapur, and T Dasarahalli Government First Class College in the initial rounds. Demonstrating remarkable skill and determination, they triumphed over BPD College of Bangalore University in the semi-finals. The ultimate showdown culminated in a gripping final match against Nelamangala Government First Class College, with Vijayanagar emerging victorious with a score of 15 points. To honor their achievement, the athletes of the winning team were bestowed with well-deserved medals and trophies during the felicitation ceremony. Esteemed personalities including Prof. Ramakrishnaiah from Bangalore Vishwa Vidyalaya, Prof. Amarnath, Director of Physical Education at Bangalore University, Dr. PC Krishnaswamy, and other dignitaries graced the occasion, acknowledging the outstanding sportsmanship displayed by the participants.
