Alliance University Celebrates Convocation With 1061 Graduates And A Message Of Unity

Karnataka Governor Thaawar Chand Gehlot delivered a powerful Convocation Address at the annual convocation of Alliance University, underscoring the timeless wisdom that the world is one family. Presiding over the ceremony at the university campus in Anekal, Governor Gehlot encouraged the graduating class to embrace the ancient dictum of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam,’ emphasizing the ethical responsibility to contribute to the betterment of the world and its people. The Governor shared insights on the significance of Indian heritage, culture, and history, urging students to promote these aspects globally. Dr Tessy Thomas, ‘The Missile Woman of India,’ served as the Guest of Honor alongside Prof. Premanand Shetty, Chancellor, and other dignitaries. The highlight of the event was the conferring of degrees upon 1061 graduates, including 10 doctoral degrees, 378 postgraduate degrees (MBA, MTech, LLM), 299 postgraduate diplomas, and 374 undergraduate degrees. Exceptional students were recognized as gold medalists, with a total of 14 gold, 15 silver, and 13 bronze medals awarded across diverse courses such as B.A. LL.B. (Hons.), B.B.A LL.B. (Hons.), LLM, B.Tech, M.Tech, PG Diploma in GLA, MBA, and EPGDM. Furthermore, 39 students were acknowledged as Specialization Toppers, showcasing the diverse achievements and exceptional capabilities within the graduating class. Dr. Tessy Thomas highlighted the pivotal role of higher education in shaping the country’s future and provided insights into various projects undertaken by the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) in India. The convocation ceremony celebrated not only academic accomplishments but also emphasized a collective commitment to fostering a sense of global unity and responsibility among the graduates.
