Seven Organisations Stage Protest

A total seven different organisations, including the farmers of Karnataka Rajya Raita Sangha and Hasiru Sene (KRRS), Karnataka State Federation of Differently Abled, Anganwadi Workers and Helpers and Guest Lecturers of Government First Grade Colleges staged a protest in the premises of the Suvarna Vidhana Soudha (SVS).
A total seven protests were held on two separate platforms near the SVS.

Five protests were arranged at platforms near Suvarna Garden, and two near Kondaskoppa.
The KRSS activists protested, demanding that the three agricultural laws amended during the BJP government in the state, which they claimed are harmful to the interest of farmers, should be withdrawn, they demanded.
Karnataka State Federation of differently abled protested urging for the fulfilment of various demands. They demanded that the Multipurpose Rehabilitation Workers (MRW) and Village Rehabilitation Workers (VRW) and Urban Rehabilitation Workers (URW) who have been serving for the last 15 years should be made permanent.Demanding the creation of a separate City Corporation for Dharwad, the Dharwad Development Forum staged a protest. They said that the existing Hubli Dharwad Municipal Corporation is not getting any response to the complaints of Dharwad city. Necessary grants are not available under various schemes according to the population and geographical size, they alleged. The association of the outsourced employees of government first grade colleges and college development committee demanded that PF and ESI amount should be paid immediately, as per minimum wage rule. The employees should be recruited through the department instead of outsourcing, they demanded.
Citizens Horata Samiti of Uttara Kannada staged a protest demanding that two medical colleges and multi-specialty hospitals at Sirsi and Kumta should be allotted to Uttara Kannada district separately. MLA Shivaram Hebbar visited and supported the protesters.
