Unauthorized Buildings In Twin Cities, Strict Action Will Be Taken Against Violation Of Rules, Municipal Corporation

This is the second largest city in the state. But as the city has grown, the land here has got a price of gold. Thus, the land mafia and unauthorised buildings continue to come up. The Hubli-Dharwad Municipal Corporation (HDMC) has been curbing the construction of unauthorised buildings and commercial establishments.

An unauthorised commercial stall is being constructed in front of the corporation zonal office. Though the corporation has issued strict notices to the owners of commercial establishments that are constructing in violation of the law without obtaining permission from the corporation, there is no money.

The construction of food street has been carried out in front of Akshaya Park. A borewell and electricity connection have already been taken up at the site. However, the Corporation has not given permission for the construction. However, a temporary shed has been constructed and the Municipal Commissioner visited the spot and issued a stern warning.

A notice has been issued by the Zonal Officers of the corporation asking the owners to vacate the premises at the earliest as they have violated the rules by constructing unauthorised commercial establishments.

It has been strictly advised to evacuate within two days. However, Commissioner Dr Eshwara Ullagaddi has warned that if the eviction is not done, the eviction drive fee will be collected as tax from the mcc staff.But many such unauthorised buildings and stalls are coming up in the twin cities of Hubli-Dharwad. In this context, strict measures are being implemented by the Municipal Corporation and the district administration. He warned that strict action will be taken against those who construct buildings and sheds, including a commercial woman, without the permission of the Municipal Corporation.
