I-T officials conducted raids at the famous ‘jewellery’ gold shops in the coastal areas this morning. It is a well-known gold store with showrooms in many parts of the coast and also has branches in other districts.
I-T officials conducted raids at Kadri, Udupi, Karkala, Kundapur, Puttur, Padubidri, Brahmavar and other places. The officials have simultaneously raided several jewellery shops and are examining the documents.
I-T officials have been conducting searches at a jewellery   shop in Shivabagh near Kadri   since morning.  A search operation is underway at the jewellery by a team of five to six IT officials. The I-T team is said to have seized the billing details and various documents of gold. The jewellery firm has 14 stores in the state and one in Goa.
