On March 30, President Droupadi Murmu bestowed the nation’s highest civilian accolade, the Bharat Ratna, posthumously upon former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao.
In February, Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared that Bharat Ratna would be awarded to Narasimha Rao.
