Uddhav Thackeray Criticizes Maharashtra Govt’s Budget As Election Gimmick

Chief of the Shiv Sena (UBT), Uddhav Thackeray, attacked the Mahayuti coalition government in Maharashtra, claiming that the state budget is all jumla and intended mainly for upcoming elections.

Earlier today, during the ongoing Monsoon Session of the Assembly, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, who also holds the finance portfolio, presented the state budget and announced ‘Mukhyanantri Majhi Ladki Bahin,’ a scheme that will provide Rs 1,500 per month to all women between the ages of 21 and 60. The BJP government’s Ladli Behna Yojana in Madhya Pradesh served as the model for the program.

We are announcing Mukhyanantri Majhi Ladki Bahin (CM My Beloved Sister) declared Ajit Pawar at the budget presentation. Every woman will receive Rs 1,500 a month under this. The plan is scheduled to go into effect in July 2024.

Ajit Pawar further declared, we would give all farmers in Maharashtra a bonus of Rs 5,000 per hectare for their cotton and soybean yields.Additionally, farmers that produce milk will receive a bonus of 5 rupees per liter. The government has raised financial assistance for animal assaults; the surviving relatives will now receive Rs 25 lakh as opposed to Rs 20 lakh previously.
