Governor Honours Sri Ganapati Sachidananda Swamiji With Honorary Doctorate

In a momentous ceremony held on Tuesday at the Raj Bhavan, Sri Ganapati Satchidananda Swamiji was conferred with an esteemed Honorary Doctorate. This honour was presented by  Governor  Thaawarchand Gehlot  as part of the 6th convocation of Karnataka State Dr. Gangubai Hanagal University of Music and Performing Arts.

In his address, Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot underlined the rich cultural legacy of India, emphasising the pivotal role played by institutions like Karnataka State Dr. Gangubai Hanagal University in preserving and promoting the invaluable heritage of culture, art, and music.

Reflecting on the occasion, Governor Gehlot remarked, today,  the University of Music and Performing Arts confers Honorary Doctorate degrees to distinguished individuals who have demonstrated exceptional prowess in Education, Art, Music, Literature, and Social Affairs. I am truly honored to bestow this accolade upon Venerable Shri Satchidananda Swamiji, a luminary in the field of music.

The Governor’s commendation extended to Swamiji’s exceptional contributions in environmental conservation and avian welfare, inspiring the youth of the nation to embrace their cultural roots while forging ahead in modernity and innovation.

The Governor, during the ceremony, paid tribute to India’s Man of Steel, the country’s first Home Minister, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, on his birthday. He extended warm wishes to all countrymen on National Unity Day, emphasising Sardar Patel’s unwavering dedication to the nation and his pivotal role in a legacy that continues to inspire us all.

Dignitaries, including Vice Chancellor Professor Nagesh V Bettakote graced the occasion.
