Agriculture Universities Should Also Work Harder To Empower Powers, Minister N Chaluvarayaswamy

Agriculture Minister N Chaluvarayaswamy has called upon the State Government to empower farmers technically and financially.

He spoke with Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Revenue Minister Krishna Byregowda at the inauguration of the new building of Bakery Technology and Value Addition Institute and Desi Sammelna at the Bangalore Agriculture University premises. Farmers are in trouble due to many reasons including natural disasters. Therefore, Agricultural Universities should work to help farmers through new research and technology, he said.

The demand for bakery products is increasing everywhere but the Minister suggested that we should help our farmers by using more desi food products and adding value.

Dr. P Chandrasekhar, Director General, National Agricultural Extension Management Institute, Hyderabad,  MLAs Narendra Swamy, Sharath Bachegowda, Dharwad Agricultural University Chancellor Dr. Patil, Bangalore Agriculture University Chancellor Suresh, Agriculture University Managing Board Members TK Prabhakar Shetty, Ullas, Chandra Gowda, Raghavendra and Bangalore Agriculture University Chancellor Dr. Basavegowda participated.Meanwhile, the Chief Minister unveiled the logo of the Krishi Mela to be held at the Gandhi Agricultural Science Center in Bangalore next month.
