An incident in Puttur of the district took place when a photo studio was burnt due to a short circuit due to a lightning strike. A photo studio at the GL complex in the heart of the city was destroyed.
It is estimated that this Adlab studio belongs to Ponnappa and the loss is around Rs 6 lakh. Although the incident took place due to lightning strike, the personnel present at the spot luckily escaped unhurt. The computer system, photo machinery, pan, photo album and other things in the studio were completely burnt.
The fire brigade and local people who got information about the incident managed to douse the fire. The owner started crying that the photo albums of many auspicious ceremonies that were to be given to the customers were burnt.
