KREIS schools achieve 98.24% SSLC pass rate

Residential schools in Kalaburagi district functioning under the Karnataka Residential Educational Institutions Society (KREIS) have recorded an impressive overall pass percentage of 98.24% in the SSLC Annual Examination-1 for the academic year 2025–26.

Deputy Commissioner B. Fouzhiya Taranum felicitated the top-performing students and extended her best wishes for their future academic pursuits. Out of 43 residential schools in the district, including Morarji Desai, Kittur Rani Chennamma, Indira Gandhi, and Dr. B. R. Ambedkar residential schools, 27 institutions achieved a 100% pass result.

Among the toppers, Bhagya Shree Dayanand of Kalaburagi Residential School (Talented Girls’ category) secured first place with 620 marks (99.20%). Shwetha from Hebbal Morarji Desai Residential School stood second with 619 marks (99.04%), while Ankita from Bilwar (Ejjeri) Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Residential School secured third place with 615 marks (98.40%).

Officials from the Social Welfare and Backward Classes Welfare Departments congratulated the students, teachers, non-teaching staff, and principals for the outstanding performance. Joint Director Preeti Doddamani, Deputy Director Eranna Ashapur, and District KREIS Coordinator Naveed Anjum praised the collective effort behind the achievement.

Officials highlighted that KREIS residential schools provide quality education with facilities such as free boarding and lodging, textbooks, study materials, uniforms, well-equipped laboratories, computer education, and music training. They encouraged parents to enrol their children in these institutions to benefit from quality English-medium education and better academic opportunities.
