Revenue Inspectors, Village Accountants Must Visit Polling Booths : DC YS Patil

Revenue Inspectors and Village Accounts must visit the polling booths identified in connection with webcasting and submit a report, Deputy Commissioner YS Patil has directed.

While presiding over the meeting arranged for the RO/AROs of 11 assembly constituencies through video conference at the Deputy Commissioner’s office, he said that the officials should re-certify about the need for web casting in the polling booths.

Election officers of 11 assembly constituencies should prepare assembly wise booklets to be submitted to observers arriving in the district. He said that they should check the hand book regarding the observers on the website of the Election Commission, get the checklist information and prepare the booklets.

Officers appointed as Liaison Officers of Election Observers should fully coordinate and cooperate with the Election Observers, the Liaison Officers should act so that no complaints are made by any observers anywhere.

He said that the completed copy of the 12D form given to the 80+ and special minded voters who want to vote by mail should be delivered to the District Collector’s office immediately, not only that all the ROs should update the filled application form-12D, but they have been given time from April 29 to May 6 to vote.

  A sector map should be prepared and approved by us as soon as possible to reach the area where the voters who have received form 12D are located. A team has to visit the houses of 30 voters in a day and vote. He said that the sector map should be prepared and sent to the candidates of the political parties after taking permission.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Shivananda B Karale, Municipal Corporation Commissioner HV Darshan were present.
