BAGALKOT
Former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will lose in whichever constituency he contests. Industries Minister Murugesh Nirani said he had left Badami after realising that he was sure of defeat.
Speaking to media persons at the Kedarnath Sugar Factory premises in the district, he said, there is information that there is a defeat in the internal survey of Badami. It is against this backdrop that he has left Badami. I have personal respect for Siddaramaiah. But it is the Congress party that will make him lose, he said.
At the same time, speaking on the issue of reservation, he said, our government has benefitted all communities. The BJP is giving more emphasis on the development of all. Nirani said that those in the opposition Congress should know the details of the reservation issue and speak up.
Reacting to KPCC president DK Shivakumar’s statement that he will scrap all the reservations implemented now when his government comes to power, Nirani said, we will not come to power. Yet what change will they do. The BJP government will come again. Bommai is doing a good job. He expressed confidence that there is nothing wrong if he becomes the Chief Minister.
Reacting to BY Vijayendra’s candidature from Varuna constituency, Nirani said the decision will be taken by the BJP high command and senior BJP leaders. I’m small about that, he said.
