Sidra Amin reclaims elite ODI batting ranking spot

DUBAI

Pakistan batter Sidra Amin returned to the ICC Women’s ODI batting top 10, after scoring a century against Sri Lanka in the ongoing championship series.

Her impressive performance in the second ODI lifted her one place to ninth in the rankings, moving ahead of India’s Harmanpreet Kaur and back among elite batters. Pakistan’s Gull Feroza also climbed eighteen places to fifty-fourth after useful contributions during the series. Sri Lanka’s players gained major ranking boosts after completing a successful chase of Pakistan’s total in the second match.

Vishmi Gunarathne was the biggest winner, rising sixteen places to thirty-ninth after her match-winning century guided Sri Lanka’s victory. Harshita Samarawickrama moved to seventeenth, while Nilakshika Silva reached twenty-fourth and Kavisha Dilhari climbed to thirty-eighth among batters. Captain Chamari Athapaththu improved her all-rounder ranking position to eighth and also moved higher among bowlers after strong displays.

Dilhari continued her rise by reaching fourteenth among all-rounders and thirty-sixth among bowlers. Pakistan’s spinners Umm-e-Hani and Syeda Aroob Shah also improved their bowling rankings with significant jumps. The latest updates highlight growing competition among women’s ODI players as Pakistan and Sri Lanka continue building momentum. These performances show the impact of consistent batting and bowling efforts throughout the series. Both teams will look to maintain their form in upcoming fixtures with hopes of achieving further success on field.
