Rudra FC concluded the MFA Women’s Elite Division as first runners-up, earning a spot in the prestigious WIFA Women’s League. This achievement brings them closer to qualifying for the Indian Women’s League (IWL) 2, taking a step toward the national stage.
With seven wins and two draws in 11 matches, Rudra FC finished second in the standings with 23 points. The team showcased exceptional skill, scoring 27 goals while conceding only 11 throughout the tournament.
The next challenge lies in the WIFA Women’s League, where Rudra FC will compete against some of Maharashtra’s top teams. To advance to IWL 2, they must secure a top-two finish in the league.
This season, Rudra FC celebrated individual success as well, with Harshada Kalbhor named Best Goalkeeper and Samruddhi Katkole honored as Best Midfielder. These standout performances reflect the team’s readiness for the upcoming competition.
Backed by Capri Sports, Rudra FC’s off-field efforts have been as strong as their on-field performances. Achieving promotion to the second tier of women’s football in India would mark a significant milestone in the club’s journey.
