The 14th edition of the Delhi Golf Club (DGC) Ladies Amateur Open Golf Championship 2024 began on Tuesday at the renowned Delhi Golf Club.
The ceremonial tee-off was led by Raj Khosla, President of DGC, alongside national champion Gauri Monga. The tournament, a 3-day 54-hole World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) event, features 110 participants competing on the iconic Lodhi and Peacock courses from November 19 to 21. Out of these, 22 players will vie for honors in the main draw.
Like the previous edition, this year’s championship holds WAGR status, which is managed by the R&A and the United States Golf Association (USGA). The WAGR system recognizes elite amateur players worldwide, covering over 4,000 events and involving more than 10,000 participants.
This year’s event showcases a stellar lineup, including emerging talents such as Mayali Kashyap, Ayesha Gupta, Yogya Bhalla, and Bhavya Mann, all of whom have made their mark on the international stage.
The competition promises intense action as participants aim to secure top rankings while displaying exceptional skill and sportsmanship on the greens.
