Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, on the last day of the Maharashtra Assembly election campaign, emphasized that issues like inflation, unemployment, justice for the poor, and the struggles of women and farmers will be key factors in the upcoming election. He stated that voters’ concerns over shattered dreams and growing hardships will influence their decisions on November 20.

Gandhi criticized the state’s resources being diverted to other regions, depriving local youth of job opportunities and hindering the state’s development. He pointed out that over Rs 7 lakh crore in mega-projects and five lakh jobs were moved out of Maharashtra, affecting its economy.

Rahul also reiterated the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) manifesto, inspired by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s vision, which promises initiatives to uplift various sections of society. The MVA plans to conduct a caste census in Maharashtra and implement a Rs 25 lakh health insurance scheme, similar to one in Rajasthan. Gandhi assured that the necessary financial plans for these schemes are in place, with no funding issues anticipated. He vowed that the MVA would work tirelessly for the people of Maharashtra once in power.
