The long-awaited thriller ‘Adithattu’, starring Sunny Wayne and Shine Tom Chacko, has finally arrived on OTT. Viewers can now watch this sea adventure on Amazon Prime Video.
Despite a short theatrical run, ‘Adithattu’ earned praise for its unique setting and stellar performances. Directed by Jijo Antony with a screenplay by Khais Millen, the film is a gripping tale of suspense, drama, and intrigue.
The story follows seven fishermen embarking on a sea voyage led by an experienced captain. When the captain is mysteriously found dead, suspicions arise, unraveling a web of tension and secrets among the crew.
Cinematographer Pappinu’s visuals and Noufal Abdullah’s editing enhance the movie’s immersive atmosphere. The cast includes Shine Tom Chacko, Sabumon Abdusamad, Prashanth Alexander, and Murugan Martin in significant roles.
Although some critics felt the narrative moved slowly, the film’s exploration of the fishermen’s lives and its tense background score by Nezer Ahemed were highly appreciated. ‘Adithattu’ blends elements of documentary-style storytelling with dramatic twists, making it a distinctive addition to Malayalam cinema.
