Taapsee Pannu is set to perform her own stunts in her upcoming action-thriller, ‘Gandhari’. This marks her sixth collaboration with writer-producer Kanika Dhillon. The film tells the intense story of a mother who embarks on a brutal journey to rescue her abducted child.
A source reveals that Taapsee will be taking on the action scenes herself without using a body double. In her first role as a mother, she plays a determined woman driven by the need to protect her child. The film showcases her emotional bond with her child, while also highlighting her physical agility in the fight scenes to make them appear more authentic and raw.
Directed by the talented Devashish Makhija, known for his work on ‘Joram’ and ‘Bhonsle’, ‘Gandhari’ promises to be an intense thriller. An announcement video shared by the makers featured a powerful voiceover from Taapsee, stating, “They say a mother’s blessing is always with you, but when it comes to her child, she becomes Goddess Kali.” ‘Gandhari’ is set to be released on Netflix next year.
