Kannada film industry is gearing up for a unique, realistic drama with the unveiling of the trailer of ‘Maryade Prashne’. Superstar Kiccha Sudeepa officially launched the trailer for the much-anticipated film, a hard-hitting revenge drama set to hit theaters on November 22. ‘I really liked the trailer,’ Sudeepa commented at the event. ‘It reveals plenty yet keeps you curious. The film seems unique, and the quality in every department is excellent. I’m proud of the direction the Kannada Film Industry is heading in.’ His endorsement added momentum to the buzz surrounding this realistic narrative.
The trailer has captured attention across social media, with over 300 influential figures—including actors, singers, RJs, doctors, and entrepreneurs—praising its appeal and sharing it widely online. The support from both industry veterans and newcomers highlights Maryade Prashne as a promising project in Kannada cinema’s growing reputation for innovative storytelling.
Director Nagaraja Somayaji shared his vision for Maryade Prashne, stating, ‘People connect deeply with stories from their surroundings, and telling them authentically brings the story closer to the audience. Kannada audiences have always supported quality films, which has allowed Kannada cinema to reach global audiences. For actors, understanding the essence of the story’s context elevates their performance and reaches new heights.’
RJ Pradeepa, the film’s producer and founder of Sakkath Studio, emphasized the studio’s dedication to rooted, realistic storytelling. ‘At Sakkath Studio, we’re committed to presenting refreshing, relatable stories from Kannada culture to a world audience. We’re confident about our first step with Maryade Prashne and aim to produce two impactful projects annually.’
The film stars Teju Belawadi, Sunil Rao, Poornachandra Mysuru, Rakesh Adiga, Shine Shetty, and Prabhu Mundkur, supported by veteran actors like Nagabharana and Prakash Tumbinadu. Music is composed by Arjun Ramu, with lyrics by Pramod Maravante and Trilok Trivikram, and cinematography by Sandeep Velluri. The movie’s soundtrack consists of five songs, with two already available to the public.
