Bengaluru
Minister of School Education and Literacy Madhu Bangarappa announced the launch of the Shiksha Copilot project, aimed at improving learning outcomes in government schools. This initiative is a collaboration with the Education Foundation and Microsoft Research India.
The Shiksha Copilot program is designed to empower teachers to develop comprehensive teaching resources tailored to the local curriculum, language, and context. AI-powered digital assistance will be provided to 1,000 teachers selected from over 750 government schools across both urban and rural areas of Karnataka.
The Shiksha Copilot enables teachers to create high-quality, personalized content, including activities, assessments, real-world examples, applications, short videos, and detailed lesson plans based on teacher feedback. Additionally, it will feature a chat-bot to assist teachers with self-learning and interactive content creation.
Present at the launch were Principal Secretary of the School Education and Literacy Department Ritesh Kumar Singh, Commissioner Dr. KV Trilokachandra, and other officials.
