The Kannada Rajyotsava celebrations will be held at Oval Grounds. The district in-charge minister will perform puja to Sri Bhuvaneshwari Devi at the palace premises at 8 a.m. Following this, the flag will be hoisted at 9 a.m. in the Oval Grounds.
A procession will start from the palace and arrive at the venue, with art troupes participating in the parade. Necessary art teams will be arranged by the Department of Kannada and Culture, and six still films will be part of the procession.
Invitations will be printed according to protocol and distributed to representatives, dignitaries, and organizations. A cultural program is scheduled at Kala Mandir at 6 p.m. All government officials and staff are required to attend the Kannada Rajyotsava program.
Criteria will be set for selecting candidates for honors. Leaders of all organizations will receive Kannada badges and shawls. It has been decided that 60 percent of the signage in shops should be in Kannada. A minimum age will be established for selecting achievers, except in sports. Kannada film screenings are planned in Mysore theaters for one week starting November 1.
