India’s women’s futsal team is set to compete in Group B of the AFC Women’s Futsal Asian Cup 2025 Qualifiers. Drawn alongside Indonesia, Hong Kong, Pakistan, and the Kyrgyz Republic following the draw conducted at the AFC House on Thursday, this will be India’s debut appearance in the qualifiers. The matches will take place in Indonesia from January 11-19, 2025.

A total of 19 teams are competing for nine qualification spots in the AFC Women’s Futsal Asian Cup 2025, scheduled for May in China. The qualifiers consist of three groups of five and one group of four. The top two teams from each group, along with the best third placed side, will advance to the finals, joining hosts China, and former finalists Iran and Japan.

Iran, winners of the 2015 and 2018 editions, will be a key contender. The top three teams from the 2025 tournament will secure places in the first ever FIFA Women’s Futsal World Cup in the Philippines.

India’s group stage will be crucial for its journey in this international futsal competition, with the opportunity to qualify for a continental championship and potentially earn a spot at the global stage in the FIFA Women’s Futsal World Cup.
