Mexico’s Maria Fassi and Sweden’s Kajsa Arwefjäll are among the latest entries for the Hero Women’s Indian Open (HWIO) at the DLF Golf and Country Club, scheduled for October 2427, 2024. Arwefjäll, a rising star on the Ladies European Tour (LET), earned her spot with a stellar season, finishing at the top of the LET Access Series Order of Merit, with two wins and six top10 finishes. The 24yearold is excited about her first visit to India, viewing the event as a prime opportunity to test her skills against LET players before the 2025 season.

Maria Fassi, an LPGA player, brings her experience, including three top10 finishes in 2023 and representing Mexico in the Tokyo Olympics. Known for her power game, Fassi is looking forward to competing in the HWIO, which is set to be one of the major events on the LET calendar. The tournament, offering a prize purse of $400,000, has attracted a competitive field, including Switzerland’s Chiara Tamburlini, England’s Alice Hewson, and Frenchwoman Perrine Delacour. India’s top players, led by Diksha Dagar, Pranavi Urs, and Tvesa Malik, will also be vying for glory in this 72hole stroke play event.
