Remote-controlled bomb injures five policemen in Khyber

Peshawar

On Wednesday, at least five policemen were injured in a remote-controlled bomb explosion targeting their vehicle in the Kankoi Mandnar area of Buner district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Pakistan. The militants targeted the mobile police van, with one of the injured being a sub-inspector who sustained serious injuries. Following the attack, a heavy police contingent cordoned off the area and initiated a search operation.

This incident comes just two days after a separate attack by terrorists from the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) on police lines in the Bannu district of the same province. That earlier assault led to intense clashes, resulting in the deaths of four policemen. The recent violence highlights ongoing security challenges in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a region frequently targeted by militant groups.
