Mysuru
As part of the world-famous Dasara celebrations, royal grandeur returned to the Mysore Palace as Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wodeyar presided over a private durbar for the tenth time.
While the festival began with an Agrapuja to Goddess Chamundeshwari at Chamundi Hill, the Navaratri festivities commenced with the royal durbar at the palace. For the first time as an MP, Yaduveer held a dazzling durbar in the jewel-studded hall. Wearing the iconic Mysore turban, royal attire, and holding a ceremonial sword, he was greeted with joy by the palace staff as they played traditional music.
Under the guidance of palace priests, Yaduveer performed the rituals, including the Navagraha Puja, honoring the bejeweled throne with flowers, sandalwood, and Mangalarati. After three ceremonial circumambulations, he ascended the throne, raised his right hand in salute, and officially started the durbar.
The Karnataka Police Band honored the occasion with traditional tunes, and Yaduveer received offerings from 23 temples, including Chamundibetta and Sringeri. After approximately 30 minutes, he gracefully concluded the ceremony, thanking those who helped organize the event.
