 Former Vice President of Kalaghatagi Taluk Panchayat, Chandragowda Patil, said that during the previous Panchayat Development Officer (PDO) period in the Panchayat, corruption and mismanagement took place, and the indefinite protest, is being carried out demanding appropriate action against the culprits.
Speaking at a press conference in the city, he said that PDO has not held any village meetings or ward meetings for the past four years. During this period, billions of rupees have been spent on tank action plans. He demanded a comprehensive investigation about this. Villagers are staging a sit-in protest at Dastikoppa, Deputy Commissioner, Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer visited   and inspected the place.
  Sivaputrappa Huggi, Shekar Gowda Jangalappa Gowdra, Sivaputrappa Badigera, Manjunatha Savanur, Gurulingaiah Hiremath and others of the village appealed that an investigation should be conducted and the guilty should be punished.
