Bathinda

In a groundbreaking initiative, Bathinda’s Mobile School, run by the Goodwill Society, offers free education to underprivileged children using a trolley. This innovative approach targets poor students who cannot attend traditional schools. The mobile school travels to remote areas of Bathinda, making education accessible to those in need.

K.K. Garg, a retired electrical engineer from the Railways, started this project after witnessing many children deprived of education during his train journeys. Since founding the first mobile school in 2006, he has established 14 such schools in Bathinda.

Sweta Rani, a teacher at the mobile school, explained that their goal is to provide education to marginalized children. The school operates from 2 to 4 PM and offers refreshments as well. Supported by local communities and various organizations, this initiative has significantly impacted the lives of many children, offering them hope and a brighter future.
