Train derails near Bhima Bridge, trains cancelled

A loco train derailed near the Bhima river bridge in the southwest division of Hubli. In this background, the movement of some trains has been partially cancelled. Train No. 17030 Hyderabad-Vijayapura, journey commencing on September 25 was cancelled.
Train No. 07663 Vijayapura-Raichur, Train No. 11305 Sollapur-Hospet, Train No. 17320 Hyderabad-Hubli journey commencing on September 26 has been cancelled. Train No. 11306 Hospet-Sollapur, journey commencing on 27.09.2024 has been cancelled.
Train No. 17320 Hyderabad- SS Hubli Express was diverted on September 25 from Hyderabad to reach Hubli via Sulehalli, Raichur, Guntakal Bypass, Ballari and Gadag. Thus, this train will not run at Wadi, Shahabada, Kalaburagi, Gangapur Road, Hotagi, Indi Road, Vijayapura, Basavan Bagewadi Road, Alamatty, Bagalkote, Badami and Hole Alur.
General Manager Arvind Srivastava and other senior officials rushed to the spot where the train derailed. Buses have been arranged for the convenience of passengers traveling by train. Railway officials have informed that a bus arrangement has been arranged for the passengers of train 17319 from Vijayapur to Kalaburagi.
The track realignment works are being supervised by senior officials from the headquarters. South Western Railway Chief Public Relations Officer Dr Manjunath Kanmadi said in a release that if there are any changes in future train services, notice will be given.
