The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) is calling on devotees across Andhra Pradesh to join temple poojas on Saturday, September 28, to restore the sanctity of Tirumala. The party asserts that the temple’s reputation was damaged by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s comments.

YSRCP leader and former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy took to social media, urging the public to reject Naidu’s false claims. Naidu reportedly suggested that the sacred laddu prasadam from Tirumala was contaminated with animal fat, misleading devotees and harming the image of Lord Venkateswara.

The YSRCP argues that this accusation was politically motivated and deeply offended the sentiments of many devotees. To counter this, they are encouraging participation in the poojas to purify Tirumala and honor the prasadam. Jagan emphasized that Naidu’s remarks tarnished the sanctity of the temple and the prasadam, leading to the need for collective action.

In response to the controversy, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has refuted rumors about impurities in the laddu prasadam, stating that it is made with utmost care and devotion by trained priests under strict guidelines. They highlighted that all preparations occur under CCTV surveillance to ensure quality and transparency.
