The 25th International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards will take place in Jaipur, Rajasthan, from March 7 to 9, 2025. The signing ceremony for the host city agreement was held at Albert Hall, where Tourism Commissioner Vijay Pal signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the presence of IIFA Vice President Suresh Iyer, Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari, and other officials.
Deputy CM Diya Kumari shared the news on X, expressing that Rajasthan’s unique culture and hospitality will be showcased on a global stage during the event. The state government plans to invest over Rs 60 crore to ensure the success of the awards.
Officials anticipate a significant increase in tourism in Jaipur and across Rajasthan as a result of the event. Preparations are already underway for accommodating various celebrities and organizing additional activities.
The IIFA Awards have previously been hosted in countries such as the UK, South Africa, and the US, among others. After the awards were held in Mumbai in 2019 and Yash Island, Dubai, in 2022, the 24th edition will take place on September 28, 2024, in Dubai, hosted by Shah Rukh Khan. Established in 2000, IIFA has brought Indian cinema to a global audience, connecting fans with their favorite stars.
